We design and built a mechanical ramp for port operations.
This ramp is to be used for barges carrying containers from neighbouring
islands. The ramp is designed for carrying truck and trailer load of up to
65 ton and is built in accordance to BS5400 and BS6349 standards. On end
is hinged at the shore end while the other end is controlled by two-30 ton
electric chain hoists. Control is automated for up/down operation to cater
to tidal condition as well as the draft of the vessel. The operator can
choose to either control from the control box or a remote control pendant.
